Director of Operations (Deputy to General Manager)

The Director of Operations will serve as the deputy to the General Manager, playing a critical role in ensuring operational excellence. This individual will lead production scheduling, supply chain management, and freight operations, while supporting the General Manager in driving efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and seamless execution across all functions. The Director of Operations will be a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can balance strategic oversight with operational execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a deputy to the General Manager, supporting overall site leadership and stepping
    in as needed.
  • Lead and manage production scheduling, ensuring alignment with customer demand,
    capacity, and resource availability.
  • Oversee supply chain operations, including vendor relationships, materials
    management, and inventory optimization.
  • Manage freight and logistics, ensuring cost-effective and reliable movement of goods
    across the network.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (finance, sales, engineering, etc.) to align
    operational planning with business objectives.
  • Drive process improvements and best practices across operations, focusing on
    efficiency, accuracy, and cost reduction.
  • Monitor key operational KPIs and implement corrective actions where needed.
  • Provide strong people leadership, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and
    continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or related fieldor equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in operations, with significant leadershipresponsibility.
  • Demonstrated success in production scheduling, supply chain management, and freight/logistics.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams and large-scale operations.
  • Experience with NetSuite is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-moving environment while maintaining focus onstrategic goals.

Outside Sales Representative – Hardscape & Masonry Products

We are a fast-growing, innovation-driven concrete products manufacturer specializing in sustainable low carbon hardscape and masonry solutions. We are seeking an experienced, entrepreneurial Outside Sales Representative to join our team and expand our market presence. This role is ideal for a motivated sales professional with a proven track record and an established book of business within the architectural, general contractor, and building materials community. Our ideal candidate understands the language and trends of the construction and hardscape industries, can confidently engage with technical customers, and has the drive to actively hunt for and close new business. Key Responsibilities

Develop and grow sales within a designated territory by actively prospecting, securing, and managing key accounts in the architectural, commercial, and contractor segments with a special focus on higher margin architectural and hardscape products. Leverage your existing network of industry contacts to drive immediate business opportunities and long-term partnerships. Represent our sustainable product offerings with confidence and technical expertise, tailoring presentations to the needs of architects, specifiers, GCs, and distribution partners. Stay current on industry trends, materials standards, and competitor activity to position our brand as a leader in environmentally responsible hardscape solutions. Collaborate closely with internal teams (including technical support, operations, and marketing) to ensure a seamless customer experience and accurate project execution.

Utilize CRM tools to track opportunities, manage pipeline activity, and report on key metrics. Attend relevant industry events, tradeshows, and customer meetings to strengthen relationships and promote the brand.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in outside sales within the building materials, hardscape, masonry, or related construction sectors
  • A strong and active book of business in the architectural, GC, or building materials space
  • Demonstrated “hunter” sales mentality with a proven ability to generate leads, build relationships, and close deals

  • Solid understanding of the concrete and construction industry sustainability trends and technical considerations
  • Ability to interpret and discuss technical specs, site drawings, and project details with clients

Financial Controller

The Controller will be a key leader in establishing and maintaining the financial backbone of the company. This individual will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, strengthen internal controls, and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting across the plant portfolio. The Controller will play a hands-on role in scaling our accounting systems and processes, working cross-functionally to align financial operations with company objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting Operations

  • Maintain internal safeguards for revenue receipts, costs, and team and organizational budgets and actual expenditures
  • Implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all programs, adhering to national and local legal standards while remaining knowledgeable of proposed legislation
  • Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets
  • policies, procedures, and workflows
  • Spearhead automation of manual processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Strategic Finance Support

  • Establish (in coordination with CFO) financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards on biweekly, monthly, and annual basis
  • Provide insights into cost management, cash flow, and margin optimization.
  • Support fundraising and investor reporting requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA a plus).
  • Professional certification (CPA) required 10+ years of professional accounting/finance experience (With 3+ years in leadership positions)
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
  • Strong command of ERP systems and financial technologies
  • Demonstrated ability to implement systems and processes in a scaling company.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to influence across teams.
  • Hands-on, proactive, and adaptable to a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • A track record of leadership, mentorship and team development

Strongly Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience working in leadership roles
  • Experience in a startup, manufacturing, or industrial environment
  • Familiarity with NetSuite ERP System
